After an entire day of working and looking after political matters, Katha finally returned to her chamber, she saw Rajmata and Mrityunjay talking to each other.

When Rajmata saw Katha entering, she got up from the couch and said, “Okay, Jai. You should have dinner and rest now. I will go. See you tomorrow, son.”

Mrityunjay nodded at her, and Rajmata turned around to leave, ignoring Katha completely.

After she left, Katha sat near Mrityunjay on the couch, he side-hugged her by wrapping his arm around her. She kept her head on his shoulder, and he asked,

“What happened between you and Maa-sa?”

“Nothing happened, Hukum.”

Mrityunjay knew that Katha was lying. He sighed and said,

“You know, I noticed it in the morning and now as well. Maa-sa has been ignoring you, something she never does with anyone unless she is angry, which is very rare. Maa-sa loves you as her daughter, she would never miss a chance to talk to you and bless you. So tell me what’s wrong?”

Katha sighed and told him everything. He nodded and said, “Well, I wasn’t expecting that. Look, I am sorry, Katha, for Maa-sa’s outburst. I-“

She interrupted him in the middle and said, “No, it’s okay, Hukum. She is a mother. Her child was hurt, and she has every right to be angry. Don’t apologize. I may also have outbursts like that when I become a mother, and my kids will get hurt.”

Mrityunjay smirked and said, “So, kids?”

Katha tried to hide her blush and asked, “Let’s eat dinner, okay? I am famished.”

Mrityunjay nodded while Katha clapped twice. An attendee came in, she told her to bring dinner, and they ate, feeding each other a few bites. After dinner, she changed her clothes while Mrityunjay sat on the bed waiting for her.

Katha came out wearing simple clothes for the nighttime. Mrityunjay was left in awe seeing her. She dimmed the light of the night lamps, leaving only a few lit. After doing so, she sat on the bed beside Mrityunjay and got rid of the dupatta from her head.

She rested her back on the headrest and looked at Mrityunjay, and found him already looking at her. He smiled at her and said, “You look tired.”

Katha sighed and said, “Yes, I look tired because I am tired. Ministers in Vajrajanapur are just hard to handle.”

Mrityunjay let out a chuckle at her complaint and said, “Thank you for decreasing my workload. Should we sleep now? I don’t want you to have any more sleepless nights.”

She nodded, and he raised the comforter to cover them. They settled next to each other, and he leaned in to kiss Katha, who met his kiss with equal fervor. He hovered above her as they kissed deeply, their lips entangled and tongues playfully vying for dominance.

He encircled her waist and pulled her up a bit, arching her back. He stopped when they both felt out of breath and started sucking on Katha’s neck. Her moan made him go insane as he sucked harder.

Katha moaned louder, feeling the sensations getting the best of her. Her breathing fastened, and he put more pressure as his other hand started moving upwards, his fingers touched her breast’s bottom. Their breathing increased, and not being able to control himself, he pressed his hand on her bosom, making her go insane with pleasure.

She held his biceps when he pressed more. Her hands unconsciously moved to hold his hand over her breast, indicating to him to press harder. He did so, while still sucking on collar bone.

The physicians’ words rang in Katha’s ears suddenly. She asked him, “What exactly are you feeling, Hukum?”

“I feel… You know, like (clears throat) like I want to have- do all those things.”

With that statement, Katha realized, “Hukum, you are feeling the post-effects of one of the herbs that was used to cure you.”

Mrityunjay nodded, understanding why he was feeling like crossing all the boundaries suddenly. He moved off of her and turned to his side, facing her.

She sat up, leaving him confused. He asked, “What happened?”

“Take off your Kurta.”

Mrityunjay raised his eyebrows, not understanding why she said that. He sat up, and Katha repeated, “Take off your Kurta, Hukum.”

He took off his kurta, still confused at her demand. He put it aside and asked, “Why did you ask me to do that?”

Katha chose not to reply and signalled him to lie back down, and so he did. She turned on her side, her back facing him. He moved a little closer to her and touched her back, making her press her face into the pillow under her head. Her heart rate increased when Mrityunjay asked while holding the dori of her blouse.

“May I?”

She timidly nodded, and he pulled all three strings with painful slowness. Katha’s breathing increased when Mrityunjay left a peck on her bare back. He felt hardened all of a sudden, and the effect that the herbs left on him was only fueling his desires.

He sucked a little on her back and a moan escaped her mouth. Mrityunjay started sucking harder leaving a reddish-purple marks on her back. He moved closer and hugged her from behind, wrapping his arms around her stomach. He raked it all over. Even Mrityunjay’s heartbeat increased when he felt the softness and warmth of Katha’s back against his chest.

He left a peck under her ear and lay silently for a while. “Did you feel uncomfortable? Do you feel uncomfortable now?”

Katha shook her head when Mrityunjay asked, and after a while of silence, he felt Katha’s breathing getting normal, indicating that she was asleep.

Holding her tighter, Mrityunjay closed his eyes as well, and sleep engulfed him in a while.
